V1 Anks329 - Extended City - '07 LS - #190 REGISTERED

SACTX
Completely worth every dollar, even with the tip I gave. I’m not scared about driving it and that’s worth the price. For the aerodynamics, I am getting a wing eventually :) but seriously, the Goblin is light!!

I just shared the info on my front splitter and side splitters if you're interested.

Thanks!

So, I'm starting to plan out my turbo upgrade. I'm looking at the turbo kit from ZZP and had a couple of question around the exhaust system. The kit will have a K04 turbo. After which, the kit comes with an o2 housing that connects to the downpipe/exhaust which is 3". Should I throw an adapter onto this and size it down to match the existing exhaust I have from DF, or should I get in touch with Adam & Lonny about getting a new turbo, 3" exhaust out here?

Ross
A 2.5" exhaust is good for 450hp on a Mustang, which has a long exhaust. Basically, on a Goblin's short exhaust, it isn't a hp restriction.
IMO, it is more of a question of if you like the sound, and want to spend the money.

I’m with Ross. 2.5” will be fine unless you’re going for huge power. The kits from ZZP are nice cuz they have all the lines and stuff you need in one shot, but your buying a lot of parts you won’t use with it.

Desert Sasqwatch
The less restrictions on the exhaust for the turbo the better. The ZZP and others use a 3 inch O2 pipe for that reason and continuing with a full 3 inch exhaust will provide less back pressure. Unless you're running a straight thru 2.5 inch with no (chambered) muffler.

Got it, looks like I’ll go with an adapter and step down. Maybe, I should learn to weld and build my own eventually:-)

Got some work done last night. Changed the headlight bulbs to the LED ones that @Zoom Zoom suggested earlier. These new bulbs are much brighter and make a big difference. I also took my taillights off, and mocked up what a new holder/bracket will look like. I'll be going to TAP Plastic later today so get some acrylic cut out with a bunch of holes to mount the taillights. I also went on a shopping spree and ordered a wing from Ebay, wing uprights from DF, HP Tuners and seat sliders from Summit. Lots of stuff to install and upgrade in the next few weeks :-)

Current task list will probably take me through the rest of the rainy season:
  • Remount my tail lights - Pending on acrylic from Tap Plastic
  • Design and build a holder for my tablet (navigation, OBD2 info), USB chargers and AFR gauge
  • Install wideband
  • Clean up wiring mess in the front
  • Install tablet holder, usb charger and AFR gauge
  • Install the BCM kick plate
  • Tuning
  • install slider for driver seat
  • Paint the brake calipers red
  • Paint/Wrap side panels and hood
  • Get a car cover
Pushing to later so that I can enjoy driving during the summer months:
  • Install the ZZP Turbo Kit
  • Retune with the turbo
  • Convert to manual transmission

And the new bulbs run a lot cooler also, Glad you like them !

Can’t wait to hear what you think of that wing. I was looking at the same one. I think with the L brackets on the wing uprights facing in it should be close to just bolting up.

Is the pattern better as well? I hope, as I wanted to go with the LED's as well.

With the incandescent bulbs, the low beam pattern is too low, but the high beam is about right.
If I adjust the headlight for the low beam pattern then the high beam is shootin' towards the stars.

Here is a pretty rough picture of what it looks like in the garage as I changed it out last night. I need to test the pattern outside and see how it looks

It looks like a pretty defined pattern on the wall, which should project out at a distance nicely.
When you do get a chance to test outside could you post a pic of the light pattern from the drivers seat? Maybe with the low and high beams?

These aren’t adjusted very good, Just put back on after having light mounts powder coated. First one is high beam. There is a big difference between low and high beam it’s just hard to see in pictures,
