V1 Ark's City Goblin #187 (2008 SS/TC donor)

You get a new one with the kit don’t you.
I cleaned my out with Zep full strength, Turned out very good. Before I read you get one with the kit

I don't think you get a new reservoir with the kit ... only an adapter kit to move it and face it the opposite direction, for hood clearance.

*edit* On that note, I forgot all about the half gallon of concentrated Zep I still have in my garage. Good call on that, it worked great!

The next lesson to learn from dumbass me: TAKE GOOD NOTES.

Some months back, when I first started working on my first set of wiring from the 07 donor, I reached a point in the old videos where you extend the clusters of headlight wires. At the time, I didn't have a whole lot of different LONG wires to choose from to extend them, so I did not match up the colors. I also didn't bother to make notes on what color extension matched with which wire. BAR-AIR to the rescue.

His well-done notes helped me determine what was what, using the headlight harness fuse block connector and a continuity tester. Yes, I made good notes of my own this time around.

Oh, one other thing. I think I have been staring at wires for too long ... could someone please kindly remind me, where this guy plugs in? It's the black connector on the fused BCM wire.

JBINTX is correct, I had forgotten there's a connector for it to plug into on the positive battery terminal, thank you for the reminder.

However, now I am a bit confused. I might have missed something in one of the videos ... what is the entire path of that wire? I know it starts at the positive battery terminal, goes into the dash harness, and then to the body harness, but that that point, it seems like it need to go to both the BCM and to the power steering connector at the fuse box. Which does it go to first?

The rest of that connector should look like this. It hooks to a connector on the large battery positive cable and supplies power to your BCM.

Thank you Lonny and all. Looks like the power steering wire just goes straight from the EPS connector in the dash harness, to the connector on the fuse box then, without intersecting with the BCM power wire at all. I think I missed cutting the EPS power wire at some point, I will re-watch the videos (again!).

The wire we labelled "Body B6 - Tan - Clutch/Fuel", can anyone tell me what connector/pin on the fuse block end of the harness this is? On the other end, it's one of the three wires on the clutch position sensor.

Actually, it's looking like I goofed. It's looking like I still have a loose "Body B6 - Tan - Clutch/Fuel" wire coming from the direction of the fuse box. But I extended something else, most likely the wire labeled "Ext Wire - Body B6 - Tan - Clutch/Fuel", does that get soldered to the tan clutch pedal wire from the dash harness? What the heck did I do wrong here?

Lonny
On a turbo harness a tan wire from the fuse box area will connect to the tan wire on your fuel pump connector and those two will have a third tan wire that goes to the clutch pedal connector.
There will be three tan wires connected together near your fuel pump plug.

Next question! (sigh...)

At 7:51 into Part 10, we're instructed to find a red/white wire and a purple wire near the BCM, and pull them through the dash harness and tape them near the EPS mark on the table. My question is, where does the purple wire originate? I can't find it and need to trace back through my harness.

TheNuker
I found the purple wire coming from the fuse box heading towards the bcm, it was not long enough so I had earlier extended that purple to a red wire I forgot about!

On mine, it's the fog light wire coming from the headlight harness. In a previous video, I'm pretty sure we rolled and zip tied one of the 2 purple fog light wires up near the fuse box, and extended one past the BCM.

That's one question I still have rolling around in my head, I don't fully understand what the purple wires will connect to and if they will be switched at the button panel or if they are always hot.

Lonny
The accessory button on the button panels will turn the purple fog lamp circuit on and off. It can be used for extra lighting or whatever.
