Rest of my kit is on the way just wanted to verify something. When I start the car the jackshaft spins, not too fast but it spins. Is the car in neutral?

It’ll still move in neutral. Internal friction here and there with no resistance from the shafts will allow it to spin.

The transmisson shaft that moves up and down selects the 1-2, 3-4, 5-R fork and is spring loaded to be in the 3-4 position normally. The other shaft moves fore and aft to select the gear - in this case 3 or 4 - but has 3 detents that can be felt, 3rd gear, neutral, and 4th gear. This shaft needs to be in the center neutral position.

Just my report from the world of junk I've visited over the last year. I spotted an F35 in a Provo, UT yard and another in El Paso(in an oddball Saturn lg sedan!) but they are rare! F23 are around and obviously donors are drying, up as usually any yard I visited had only 1-4 units. Several were in 01-05 Cavaliers\Sunbirds with Eco Tec engine. Tucson, El Paso, Ft. Worth, Atl, more hits than misses, no F35 in yards. Search Cobalt forums or Comegetjoe in PA.
Last Summer, DF had F23's brand new, no info on FD ratio(I failed to ask), I believe they will add an LSD before shipping??, call DF for Prices and availability!! I believe I saw 10-15 units in their possession but stock changes.
