Hello Goblinista! I am "The Wandering Troubadour of the Chevy Cobalt" known as Ah.B.Normal. As luck would have it my wandering will take us to Galveston by Dec 10, back to FW area around Festivus with Grand Sons and back to Galveston for our winter rest. I believe we depart G.I. in March? That's good to know about the bolts. Thank you!
I want to get my Goblin on the track before the end of May. Hopefully also registered for street use, too.
I know Austin is NOT just down the street from G. Island but I do travel.
Anyhow I sort out stuff and sometimes can make site visits. It would not be out of the question for me to visit your Austin area garage sometime in Dec- March. (The wife does all the holiday scheduling so I will not have exact dates for my availability until after we arrive in TX)
For reference look up a builder on this forum, Josh09. He is north of DFW and last summer WE got his Goblin finished after they had a second child, stuff "had to be cleaned up" and he discovered he lost stuff; then he stalled out. Brain Fry!, too much just plain old Life, too many project questions and had a hard time figuring out what to attack first?, as it all seemed to need attacking FIRST. He will probably tell you, "Sure, invite him to help, but get some ear plugs because that old dude can ramble!" I hope he'd mention I know Cobalts through and through, down to the nuts and bolts. Thus Goblin's. I know stuff about these cars that I didn't even want to know!
But PLEASE!, keep posting questions and problems and we Forum Ghosts will all see what we can do! And Bubba, we have proved we can do a lot!
ALSO: I posted in Classified that I procure Cobalt odds and ends, at hopefully reasonable prices. Once you ID a missing bit, tell me and I'll see what I can do.
