V1 IDRVSLO / TRACK / 08 SS TC **REGISTERED** #105

I haven't even tried. Sounds like a slight adjustment to the design is needed if multiple people are having the identical issues.
I believe they are off from the factory, even my OEM mounts doesn't line up well. DF copied the OEM dimensions but used a smaller diameter bolt hole (which reduces the tolerances). Also the OEM mount, since it is rubber mounted, gives and flexes allowing it to fit.

So, yes, ultimately, it would be best possibly for DF to re-dimension that piece.

We have already adjusted position two times. The problem seems to be with the subframe. GM either has different designs or wide open tolerances. The last time we had the mounts laser cut we split the difference between the two. GM gets away with having their tolerances wide open by having rubber mounts with massive holes.

You will need to loosen the six bolts that hold your engine and transmission in place and loosen the for bolts that hold the subframe and loosen the bolts that attach the solid mounts. This will allow everything to move around and for better fit.

Once you get all of the bolts started torque everything back down.

GM Im sure it is GMs tolerances. I am thinking of just reaming that hole out on the subframe side. Is there any reason this would be a bad idea?

Also! FIRST DRIVE! I can tell this thing is going to be nuts. It was a bit wet out and the brakes still need fine tuned(specifically the rears). I was going to do this on the 25th due to weather but we had a nice break and I couldnt resist!

My neighbor cracks me up "WWwwooooowww, that sounds good!" Yes it does!

Did it feel REALLY small when you started driving? That was my first reaction. I twisted around to look while i was driving in reverse. Hand could almost touch the rear bumper and foot was almost at front..... weird feeling

Are you doing a hood? Curious what your color scheme will be.

Felt super tiny! I have the hood and side panels. Along with a different solution for the wing. See my wrap on the floor? Same color with a satin black center on the hood.

So sweet! I wish I was that far already, NM weather is Beautiful right now!! Haha What is your ride height? As I am running stock cut springs (cringe) at the moment my 6.5 ish inches ride height puts my axels at a slight angle.. yours looks on the money.

Thanks, I will take a look and get some measurements. Just have to keep in mind the sidewall/wheel combo will cause these numbers to vary a bit.

UPDATE: Clutch still has a bit of fluid leaking from it. I havent opened the inspection cap to diagnose if it is still coming from the elbow to pipe connection or if it from the connection by the TOB. I will order a new Hyraulic Clutch Elbow and Clutch Pipe..........$30 in parts that might have saved me a headache........we will see how big of a headache it is.

Still have a very very soft brake pedal. I will bleed the brakes again but it isnt engaging the braked until near the end of the pedal position.

Did you use a brake bleeder or have someone pump the brakes the old fashioned way? Idk if I want to make the investment yet??

Is this a different part than you are referring to? Or do I have something installed incorrectly the hard line from the kit fit right into the factory location for the clutch. I haven’t attempted to bleed it yet to see if it holds pressure

No need for a pressure bleeder, vacuum bleeder, buddy system or whatever. All you have to do is route a vinyl hose that has a radius that goes above the bleeder screw and then down into a empty bottle. After that you can crack the bleeder screw and pump away on the pedal all by yourself.
