V1 IDRVSLO / TRACK / 08 SS TC **REGISTERED** #105

No, I don't believe it will stop. That's normal. Again, I speaking from a SS/SC point of view.

Any dash indicators lit?

The SC have a return line and I think that is why they continue to run. The TC don't so they build pressure and then stop apparently.

Make sure you have the headlight harness ground, this has been missed too many times by builders.

Not sure if its the correct way but I pulled off the top ecm plug and stripped and probed from the brown-brown/black to same twisted pair on bcm side. Hopefully lonny can chime in if Im wrong.

Lonny sent me a beg to end com diagram but I can seem to find it for some reason

Before I go regrounding this headlight harness I checking continuity between the black ground and the engine ground and it beeped. Should I still redo the headlight ground? Should I have continuity from the center body ground to the engine ground?

I also have continuity from the center ground to the headlight harness ground....
Should be okay then. Unless the ground is poor and with a heavy load it drops out, but I doubt that is the case at this point. Next step, follow the data wires from start to finish, without the communication, it will refuse to even try to start.

The data wires run from the BCM to the smaller of the two ECM connectors. I'm pretty sure they run to the BCM connector that plugs in vertically with a locking handle. I don't recognize the smaller connector just yet.

I don't know the exact details but I do know it's important! It's part of the security system. Hopefully I'm wrong and you can get by without it. It's the RF for the remotes and something else.

I literally held this thing up as some sort of trophy when I found it. Looked important when I was pulling stuff I guess...so I kept it.

Hoping I can plug this in and get some results before ripping apart the harness.
