Hi All Im Joe from Hanover PA, picked up a V1 Kit, Been lurking here for awhile (Since maybe Aug 2024) I picked up a 2007 Cobalt SS Supercharged at auction with a winning bid of $150 on a no reserve auction October of 2023 (with the intent of building a Goblin.) Cost out the door after fees taxes etc was 1280. Also the car had a funny back story that i got from the seller after the auction. When I brought it home from the auction It was straight piped with a 4 inch exhaust from the factory down pipe (Which was cut and welded on in once piece) And it was LOUD! There was codes and it only started once in a blue moon. There was front end damage and LOTS of paint damage. The stock air box was cut up and a cone filter was hose clamped on to the stock air box and duct taped. Ac was non-working also. Apparently the Kid who owned it Cheated on his girlfriend and she got pissed and spray painted male genitals all over it. Kid Tried to clean it up with Acetone it ate through the clear coat. He got pissed and drove to her work and hit a bollard infront of the Bestbuy where she worked and he tried to drive away and blew the engine (No coolant). He then Took the car to the shop and they replaced the engine with a 34000 mile unit (Also came with an LSD transmission.) did some mild body work on the front end and then the kid could not afford the repairs, so he signed it over to them and walked away. They had it up for sale for about a year and then took it to the public auction and apparently forgot to put a reserve on it. I finished the removal of the lingering spray paint with a power washer. I then went through the process of trouble shooting , found out the main ecu harness needed to be re-pinned (Most of the wires where only touching sometimes if you jiggled it just right but every time you hit a bump (Or the curb into the driveway) it would shutoff. I rebuilt that and then found i was still getting codes, I found a cheap scanner in the cubby to the left of the steering wheel and along with a few other tools and parts that i have sold or kept for the goblin i feel like i have already got my moneys worth out of the Donor. One of the codes was caused by the supercharger sensor and the open air sensor being plugged into the wrong parts of the harness (They are exactly the same connection and very close to each other.) I then used the found scanner to clear the codes and viola it was running right. I have driven the car for a few years too just for S&G's But now its time to strip it down and get started. (As soon as I get my garage cleared out) Well thats my intro Excited to be part of the Community and start building!

Nice. Unfortunately, I do not think that long tube header will work for the build. Too bad you have to scrap those sweet side stickers. Torreto and O'Conner will be very disappointed.

Be sure to label all of the connections coming off the engine. The two swapped plugs are I believe one of 3 (or 4) sets that can be plugged into mating spots. Actually, label all connectors well at tear down so you don't have problems during the harness steps.
