V1 Nuker's City Goblin build - 2007 SS SC Donor - Completed/Licensed

Okay got it, So both of those fan plugs are identical 2 wires except color Light Blue/ White and Black/Gray on the second one. I will tuck that one up with the 2 AC connectors and the LB/Wh needs to be extended up to the front right?

Are most people on running one of the O2 sensors?

Thanks!

Progress is being made, I engine harness is done, and I'm starting on the Dash harness. That one does not seem too bad. But I'm not looking forward to the main harness.

Got some more done, Engine installed, Dash harness is thinned out, BCM is installed so that I can rough all of the connections in and then wrap the harness. Next up dun dun dun the main harness!

Does anyone have a good picture of every connector that should be left on the main / dash harness with wires coming out of them? Would be very helpful in the guide.

Thanks

Has there been any thought further into the body panel material? CF would make some really nice looking panels!

I will eventually be making my side panels out of carbon fiber, but thats it. Those are fairly flat, simple shapes. As someone who's done a bit of fiberglass boat restoration I would not even attempt more complex shapes like the nosecone or rear cover without major tooling. Between the molds and vacuum assemblies its out of reach of most people.

That being said you can get "end of rolls" of high quality carbon fiber weave for pretty cheap if you watch for specials. I still have about 60sqft in the back of the shop somewhere and it was only about $60 if I remember correctly. I got it from RockWest composites, but haven't seen any that cheap in awhile.

Carbon fiber panels would probably add $3k to the cost of a Goblin. I have to keep reminding myself... the possibilities are endless, the bank account isn't!

When you are re routing all of the green/yellow/light green/brown wires for the rear break lights and backup lights etc what do you do with all of the black grounds that are left on the connectors. The video does not tell you if I can remove them.

Also for the 3rd brake light I don't have that light blue/ black anywhere. Maybe my 2007 did not have that?

Anyone help me out?

Thanks,

We show what to do with the ground wires a little farther in the video.

If you are not going to hook up cruise control don't worry about the third brake light wire.

I will see where the third brake light wire comes from tomorrow and post it just in case.

Okay, I'm trying to see a few things I'm missing. On video 12 when you start on the ground wires, Is this one of the groups that we took out in the previous video?

These are the plugs left in the Main wiring harness that I don't know what are used for. Besides these I think I'm close to figuring out the rest of this main harness.... Phew.

I have a 2007, I had already clipped off the blue and black plug. The blue is double tapped on the big grey fuse block connector that my screwdriver is pointing to; that is where the plug goes. The other blue wire that remains goes to the brake switch where it is double tapped. That wire goes to the BCM. Hope that helps.

The plug with the pink, yellow and blue wires is for the inflatable restraint passenger seat belt tension sensor.
The sixteen pin plug with the red dot on the side and a red and white wire at position 16 is for the digital radio receiver.
These two can be removed.

I need a better shot of the inside of the other two.

I will try to look for the other three later today.

Hey Lonny, Thanks a TON for your help. Sorry I was out of town for a few days. Here are a couple better shots of those other 2 plugs.

Also at 5 minutes into the part 12 video, There is a wrapped up data wire that is connected to the "engine connector" I don't see that purple plug anywhere. Nor have we cut anything like that out. We have not cut any data wires yet.

Your wiring will be a little different.
When you cut out the ABS plug out there will be a pair of short data wires that go to the ECM.

They will eventually be tied to data wires coming from the BCM when you combine the dash harness with the body harness.
