V1 Stretch’s ext. track goblin #386 SS/TC

JBINTX
I don't like the look of the NACA ducts, though some people have done fine work to get them on the inside of the hood and looking good. I just use the fan ... but I live in PA, much more mild temperatures typically than what you'll deal with in FL. Also, I don't autocross.

I believe @JBINTX installed both the ducts AND a fan.

I like your scoop idea. I might try to move the air filter out later on. I thought about maybe running a small scoop underneath that helps flow air through the heat exchanger but I’d run the risk of picking up rocks and scraping. Maybe make it removable since I’d probably only need it for racing?

Scott @SACTX did some underbody work with a reverse scoop for an outlet.

Jeremy you did not like the underglow lights either, but..............

I used the scoop as an exit. I attached it to the tray that I put under the front end and named it backwards so that the air going through the radiator would blow back under the car instead of straight down into the road.

It’s finally on the ground! Taillights are hooked up and the rear suspension was just finished at the shop so I threw it on tonight and rolled it out for pictures. Just need to put the intercooler pump, hoses, and seats for it to drive. Then only headlights and other small stuff for registration.

Ark :D
I like the cobra rims. Sorta like Ark's

I was initially jealous of Stretch for having access to a pristine set of the 2000's era Cobra wheels. I was looking for a set for months, but all I could find was curb-rash trash. I gave up and bought a set of Saleen replicas which I love, but were actually my second choice.

I won’t lie I did get lucky with them but I wouldn’t overshoot and call them pristine. I just take pictures far enough back that the oxidation doesn’t show lol.

Brakes are bled and I’m in the process of finishing the clutch. Some headlights are on the way and the button set came in this morning so I still have plenty to do.
Anyways, is it ok to run the car on a stock tune after having a new intake and exhaust or is it too lean? I’m not going to really drive it hard, but more idle around and see if I can burp the coolant system.

Shouldn’t be a problem. I wouldn’t worry as much about running lean as stumbling at lower speed since the maf could probably need adjustment. Depending on what you mean by new intake.

I just mean the DF air intake and shorter tube compared to the cobalt stuff. Thanks

G
As long as the intake tube where the maf is located is the same diameter it will be fine (some of the aftermarket intake tubes have a different diameter than stock)

So some good and bad so far…
The pros are that the intercooler setup is all on and hopefully all the leaks have been fixed. The firewall is also finally in since I won’t have to reach back there too much hopefully

The cons are that the relocation block is leaking brake fluid from the brass fittings and they cannot be tightened at all to try to counter it short term. I’ll also need to contact DF to get a different set of seat brackets because I’m running two different sizes seats. All fixable stuff but not going to be driveable I’m afraid.

If anyone knows a solution to the fittings whether it’s Loctite or anything like that feel free to share
