sounds great, you're really taking a bite out of this project
I see what you did theresounds great, you're really taking a bite out of this project![]()
I took a couple of weeks off for family stuff, but I'm back at it. I had the donor removed last week and Goblin #493 was delivered on Thursday, now siting comfortably in my garage. I used some old sawhorses and a 4X8 sheet of pegboard left here by the previous homeowners for my wiring harness table. I got the wires laid out and stripped of all the tape and clips. Due to the age, I guess...there's melted adhesive all over everything, so it's a messy job. I was thinking about using some goo gone on a paper towel to remove it, but I'm worried I'll lose the harness shape, so ill probably wait until the end of the thinning process for that. I'm going to try and start thinning the wiring harness today and hopefully be done in the next few weeks...wish me luck.
There are quite a few headliner plugs, depending on the trim level of your donor.
The headliner plugs are in here, but it takes some digging to find them. I think it is "connector views" and the C100-C200 range.
It might be in this video...
Mine was pretty tight too, but I was able to get it installed. I also recommend to not fully tape your harness when complete in case you have to do some troubleshooting or changes.
Same….. Lonnie’s soothing hypnotic voice over tricked me into fully wrapping the harness up. Wish I had not and kept it open for troubleshooting. That's one thing I wish I did differently in my build - wait to wrap it. I didn't have much in the way of troubleshooting but just fitment in the chassis would have been easier if I waited to wrap it completely.
I think it's actually the background music.Same….. Lonnie’s soothing hypnotic voice over tricked me into fully wrapping the harness up. Wish I had not and kept it open for troubleshooting.
