GOBLIN V2 FEATURES
New Options, New Donor, Same Goblin Spirit
The Goblin V2 takes everything people love about the original Goblin and makes it even better. It’s still the same lightweight, high-performance kit car, but now with body options to make it your own, upgraded suspension, a new donor, and more.
Functional Exterior Options
At first glance, the Goblin V2 looks just like the original Goblin, and that’s no accident. We wanted to preserve the signature look that has defined the Goblin from the beginning. But take a closer look, and you’ll notice subtle changes throughout – all made to improve performance and comfort without straying from what made the original so popular.
For those looking to take their build to the next level, we’ve also developed bold, functional options that let you customize your Goblin like never before. From advanced aerodynamics to enhanced cooling, these upgrades not only make your Goblin stand out but also deliver real performance gains where it matters most.
An All New Cage Style: T-Top
Goblin V2 is available with an all new cage style: the T-Top. This option provides protection without interfering when climbing into the car. For more protection, we're still offering the full cage option.
Functional Hood Extractor Option
The optional AERO nose includes a functional hood extractor that improves downforce and cooling efficiency.
Side Pods
Optional side pods not only improve airflow at the rear but also make room for intercoolers if you’re building for maximum performance.
All New Suspension
The Goblin V2 swaps out the rear struts for an SLA (double wishbone) design similar to the front, bringing improved geometry and full adjustability to all four corners. This upgrade not only saves weight but also makes the suspension more tunable than ever before, giving you the control needed to dial in your setup for any driving style or condition.
We rethought many of the components used in the V1, choosing designs that make the V2 easier to build, easier to maintain, and more durable than ever before. These upgrades ensure the Goblin V2 delivers worry-free fun, making it as enjoyable to own as it is to drive.
Lotus-inspired Suspension
The Goblin V2 features SLA suspension on all four corners, replacing the V1’s rear struts. This improves geometry, reduces weight, and enhances adjustability.
QA1 Coilovers All Around
The Goblin V2 uses QA1 adjustable coilovers on all four corners, available in single or double adjustable options.
Tubular Rear Subframe
The Goblin V2 kit includes a lightweight tubular subframe instead of reusing the subframe from the donor.
Optional Front Sway Bar
The Goblin V2 is designed to accommodate an optional front sway bar, giving you another tool for fine-tuning handling and reducing body roll.

Designed with the Builder in Mind
Building your Goblin V2 should be just as exciting as driving it, which is why we focused on simplifying the assembly process. With smarter designs and fewer hurdles, the V2 helps you bring your vision to life more efficiently than ever before.
We’ve also cut back on the number of donor parts you’ll need by including more in the kit. That means less cleaning, less hunting for usable parts, and more time focused on the fun stuff. From wiring to cooling, we’ve made the V2 easier to build without taking away any of the satisfaction of putting it together yourself.
Less Reliance on Donor Parts
We’ve included more key parts in the kit, so you’ll spend less time cleaning, inspecting, and sourcing donor components.
Standalone Body Harness
The new body harness is fully standalone, cutting out most of the rework needed on the donor wiring.
No More Pulling Hoses
Say goodbye to pulling hoses through the frame rails! The Goblin V2’s tunnel is designed to hold the hoses.
One-Piece Tunnel Design
The V2 features a one-piece tunnel, eliminating the need for a separate tunnel cap. This change simplifies assembly and creates a cleaner look.
Powered by the Mk7 VW Golf
The Goblin V2 runs on the Mk7 VW Golf, a platform that’s built to perform and easy to work with. Turbocharged engines come standard, and with options like a manual, automatic, or dual-clutch DSG transmission, there’s plenty of flexibility to build your Goblin exactly the way you want it.
Right out of the gate, the Mk7 Golf makes a strong foundation with plenty of power and performance. And when you’re ready to take things further, its tuning potential means there’s almost no limit to what you can achieve.
Everyone Deserves a Turbo
Every build starts with a turbocharged engine—whether it’s the base Golf 1.8T or the more powerful GTI. That gives you serious power and performance to work with right from the start.
Dual Clutch Option
You can build your V2 with an auto or manual from the Golf, but for peak performance, the dual-clutch DSG is king. With lightning-fast shifts and seamless power, it’s the top choice for fastest Goblins.
Aftermarket Potential
Flash a Stage 2 tune on the 1.8T or the GTI's 2.0, and you’ll gain 75-125 horsepower just like that. Get yourself a turbo swap kit for the GTI, and you’re looking at 400-500 horsepower. On pump gas.
