Chevrolet Cobalt Donor
Your Goblin V1 build starts with a Chevrolet Cobalt (or Pontiac G5). You'll use the powertrain, electrical system, fuel pump, and much more from the donor to complete your Goblin.
Which Cobalt should you choose?
The Chevrolet Cobalt was available in a variety of trims throughout its production, making it a versatile choice for building your Goblin V1. From the base naturally aspirated models to the higher-performance SS versions, there's a Cobalt for every build style.
The list below provides more details about each trim level, starting with the lowest powered Cobalt, the base early model, and ending with the highest powered Cobalt, the SS/TC.

Where Can I Find a Cobalt Donor?
The best value for your build is often a wrecked donor from an insurance auction, such as Copart or IAA. These sources typically offer Cobalts at a lower price due to their salvage status. You can also find donors on platforms like Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist, though these options are usually more expensive since they are often drivable cars sold directly by the owner.
What Will I Need From The Donor?
When stripping down your Cobalt donor for the Goblin V1 build, you’ll need to salvage several key components. The goal is to use as much as possible from the donor vehicle, minimizing additional purchases and making your build as cost-effective as possible.
