GOBLIN V1 #240
The Original Goblin Kit
Empowering Enthusiasts Since 2015
Origins of the Goblin V1
After we built our own car from scratch, we knew we had to deliver the same thrill of building a performance-focused vehicle to others. That’s when the original Goblin V1 was born—a kit designed to let other enthusiasts experience the same journey of building and driving their own car.
Builders across the United States have transformed the Goblin V1 into a range of unique machines, from head-turning daily drivers to hill climb record-setters. With over 500 kits sold, the Goblin V1 has become a standout in the world of kit cars.
Goblin V1 BuildsChevrolet Cobalt Donor
We chose the Chevrolet Cobalt for our project since it was easy to get a base model donor with 155 horsepower. We also knew that the SS versions of the Cobalt were available to take our car to the next level.
The Cobalt SS lineup includes a 205hp supercharged SS and a 260hp turbocharged SS. These versions provide solid stock power and are easy to modify, making them ideal for guys that want to go all-out in a Goblin.
V1 Donor InfoNo Shop? No Problem!
You don’t need a full race shop to build the Goblin. We've made sure every detail is designed for ease, from pre-bent brake lines to labeled hardware bags, so you can dive into the build without hesitation.
Our kit is all about assembly, not fabrication. Whether you're working in your garage or driveway, you won't need welding or specialized tools — just your passion for cars and a bit of time to build your masterpiece.
V1 Build InfoWhat's in the Goblin Kit?
All you need to bring is the donor car and some finishing touches like tires and wheels. The Cobalt supplies the drivetrain and a few other key components, while we’ve got the rest covered in the kit. The Goblin is more than just a chassis kit.
We provide pre-drilled sheet metal panels, fuel tank, the front suspension setup with coilovers and the list goes on. The kit covers almost every part you’ll need to build, so you can focus on assembly rather than sourcing components.
V1 Kit ContentsLightweight Means Big Fun
Weighing between 1500 to 1600 pounds fully built, the Goblin is half the weight of most street cars. Less weight means faster acceleration, sharper handling, and more responsive driving—all the ingredients for pure, unfiltered fun.
The mid-engine layout places more weight in the rear for improved traction and balance. The rear brakes stay engaged, and the tires grip hard whether you’re accelerating or cornering, making every drive feel thrilling and connected.
