Looks like this is my next step. Do you happen to have a picture of the connection you made at the ECM?

I cut the end of the accelerator pedal and soldered one end of the 18-6 cable into the connection. Note, I marked the wire colors of this junction as the colors in the 18-6 aren't the same as the GM wires. Then, I soldered in the other end of the 18-6 wire to the corresponding wires on the blue ECM plug. It essentially cut out a large chunk of the stock wiring harness out. I think I was left with maybe 6" (4" and 2" on each end) of stock wiring.

It sounds a lot more invasive or troublesome than it really was. I think it all in all took an hour. At first, I just zip-tied the 18-6 wire to the outside of the wiring harness. When I went into the harness the next time, I wrapped it in.

Later on, I removed the LSJ ACC jumper harness out of the equation.

Just buy some cheap headlights, and make your own mounting? That is what I did.
Similar to those, are these that I'm considering changing over to. A modern look to the lamp.

Finally got around to replacing the 18/6 wire to the throttle pedal. I was sure that was going to be the problem after reading so many people having the same issue but I still have no throttle response with the pedal. Not sure where to go from here. I may try getting a new connector for the pedal and get rid of the jumper. Running out of things to try.

I know people get tired of me saying this, but have you tried using the service manual diagnostic for the p2122? If the code comes on all of the time then the diagnostic steps usually work pretty well. It might take a diagnostic scanner depending on how far you have to go through the steps before finding the problem. But having a diagnostic scanner is pretty much required to be able to work on cars from the last 30yrs.

It’s only intermittent problems that usually make an oem diagnostic fail.

I have been through all of the diagnostic tests according to the manual and got to the point where it says the PCM may be faulty. That may be the next step. New pedal, new wire, new throttle body, jumper connector removed. Not sure what else I can try.

Are you currently seeing the live data reading that is required to set the p2122 code? I don’t have a service manual that covers your model but there should be a voltage out of spec.

How are you testing for live data? I used this procedure to test the APP and all the values were spot on. Not sure how to test this with everything connected short of using the voltmeter to make holes in the wires and see the readings that way.
