V1 Frank's Florida Street Goblin Build (#227) - 06 SS, 2.4L donor

Not sure what you plan on mounting your sliders to, but I bent my adjustment bar pretty far since it was against the bottom of my seat also. I found a youtube video of someone installing them since it took me a while to figure out how to mount them, and he bent his too.

Thanks for the info. I actually watched that video before I started. I am going to mount my seats very similar to the way you did yours. I will probably weld the four (two per side) seat supports to the frame cross-members.

Just spoke to Adam. I did not realize that my donor brakes (2006 Cobalt SS, Non TC/SC) brakes will NOT work. Good catch Adam. New brakes and rotors are now added to kit. Already rebuilt & painted the donor brakes so who needs a set? Still hoping my frame ships in the next few days !!!

Takes a bit of time to get the kit delivered but its WELL worth the wait. Those guys (ladies too) are hustling at DF. You can tell. The quality is top notch! Excited to see another build log.

Pick Up the Frame - Well my frame (Frame #227) and two others destined for Florida are sitting in the shop ready to go. DF is having a hard time getting shippers so I decided to bite the bullet and make the 950 mile (each way) drive and pick them up. Will be leaving Wednesday morning & spend the night at a nearby motel. Will head to the shop at 8 AM Thursday morning to pick them up. Unfortunately Adam & Lonny will NOT be there. Will deliver one frame on the way home to "jaredthenav" (Frame #230) in Navarre, FL and the other frame (#234) will be picked up at my house, I assume over the weekend.

I like your open frame. Sweet

Have a good friend that is a local Concrete Contractor who loaned me his trailer. Did some much needed maintenance for him. Welded a broken fender, replaced a leaking tire valve stem, bolted down his toolbox. Easy stuff he never has time for. It's off to TX at 6 AM to pick up three Florida frames, mine (#227), frame #230 for Jared and #234 for Patrick. A bit low in the front so I will swap out my higher hitch before I leave. Monday morning (26th) my frame goes to Powder Coat.

That is something very awesome about the members here, they help each other out. I know, I had a guy save me a heck of a lot of time and money picking up parts for me and meeting me on his way through. That's wonderful of you to pick up the others and help them while saving them a lot of time and money!

I ended up making the trip twice to Red Oak. Honestly, I actually enjoyed the trip. Personally I like a good road trip, and from the sounds of it, you have a few miles logged over years (albeit at a much higher speed and alt). I'll bet you will enjoy the trip also.
