I would ask this shop for end result numbers they set everything to and then walk away from this place. You need to find a locally owned shop with someone who will work with you to get the suspension set up correctly.
1000% agree. You can do a better job with a couple tools and a string alignment. It's not hard, just takes a bit of time. Less than a hundo for all this stuff. You can also go with one of those kits that does

I'm going to start messing with my fuel pump/gauge to find out why it isn't working. The gauge stays at full most of the time and sometimes goes to about 3/4 full for no reason, then back to full. I'm going to pull the unit out of the tank and manually move the float to make sure it affects the gauge. Any other ideas to find where the problem is? I assume it's direct communication from the unit to the gauge?

Howdy friends. Updates and new questions.

My dad and I did the alignment and it's 1000% better!

We pulled the fuel pump out to see if there was a float issue and we found the fuel pump had become sort of disassembled. The two rods that run up through the springs had pulled out of the plastic sleeves on the top half of the assembly and the lower half of the assembly was just sort of floating in the fuel. We put it back together and it seems to be better now. The only issue now is that the fuel gauge runs in reverse. When full it reads empty and moves toward full as I drive around. Would switching the two sensor wires around solve that?

The other thing I want to do it change the rigid lines coming out of the assembly to some rubber fuel lines to make it easier to place the fuel filter. I'm thinking I could carefully razor blade off the rigid lines at the pump and use rubber hose with hose clamps. Does anyone see a problem with doing this?

I did that with mine. Just have to be very careful you don’t damage the connector.

It's a fuel line from ACE. Is that maybe not good enough?
Very possibly. A lot of fuel line is lined on the inside to allow for fuel contact, but the outside is not meant for continuous contact with fuel and will very quickly break down.

And I think it is typically called as submersible fuel hose/line. There was a problem with some that was bought as submersible hose from Amazon on HPT forum last week that still failed quickly, so if you get it from somewhere like that, it still might be an issue.

Switching the two wires isn't going to fix it. Chevy changed the fuel sender between 2005 Cobalts and 2006.
Are you running a 2006 fuel sensor & pump in a 2005 donor car? You might want to grab your old 2005 sensor, and install it, or buy a universal fuel sender with the correct resistance and length. The stock Cobalt sensor doesn't work perfectly in the Goblin tank.

The 2006 Cobalt fuel sensor:
Full ~33 ohms
Empty ~240 ohms

I broke my fuel line connector coming out of the fuel pump, but was able to fix it with epoxy and a metal tube.

Make sure your rubber line is rated for continuous immersion in fuel and is sourced from a reputable source.
I think he’s talking about external lines not the internal ones. If they are internal, then yes, must be submersible and capable of holding over 60psi. If external, then it just needs to be fuel injection hose capable of over 60psi. I used Gates 4219BF 3/8” hose.
