Yeah, the exhaust caught my eye out of all of it. The other items are really nice too.
Thanks. I knew I wanted a dual tip exhaust. It’s actually a jeep muffler. I had to get a new header cuz the old manifold was cracked, welded, and recracked. My buddy and I made the new pipe to run from the header to the muffler. Then made new tips to be symmetrical with the frame.

Some really nice details on this one.

Tell me more about the material and process used for forming the front splitter and other pieces.

Are the brake scoops the same material or made out of metal? How did you make these?

Thanks a bunch!

For the front and rear "aero", I designed the shapes I wanted in Illustrator and lasered the flat parts out of ABS ( I think) then used a heat bender to make the angled parts. Then just used machine screws to go through the body with nuts on the back side. The panels on the side were a similar process but I used to the bent plastic as a mold. I laid fiberglass, composite foam core, and then chopped carbon fiber to make the actual panel. Then ditched the plastic. These work well to keep wind, rocks, and water out of the foot wells.

The rear wing is actually the wing from the cobalt. I took off the stock uprights and lasered out new endplates from the same plastic. I designed the new uprights in Illustrator and had Send-Cut-Send cut them out. Then bonded them to the wind with fiberglass. Its actually a two part upright so I can separate the wing from them if need be.

The front brake scoops were made with the same plastic mold method i used for the side panels. I going to remake them though now that I've learned a bit. The ones in the pic are a little sloppy for my taste.
