V1 JCas Tacoma Wa city easy entry 07 LS #188 "REGISTERED"

Jcas
Well two weeks in and after this weekend all that is left to keep it off the road is we still need to do the alignment, seat belts (on order) and a trip to the DMV.

When I pull the seats back out to paint the seat mounts I will post pictures of what I built and I will explain what I used to make them.

I have decided to paint the body myself as I figure that I can paint multiple times for less than body man quoted me.

This was a good weekend I replaced the timing tensioner as many of you said I should. Mounted footwell and got all the lights wired in. I seem to keep going from on end to the other cleaning things up but I must say as of tonight it looks very well but still tons of little things to do.

So on this day at 1:20 pm pst a goblin was born to the parents of jcas. The goblin weighed in at 1460 and is looking very healthy and expected to live a very joyful life and will enjoy many sunny days running around

Congrats on the registration! It's as easy as we had talked about? (weight, MCO, and receipts?) Hoping to get there soon-ish. :)

Yes was as simple as that. MCO, certified cat scale weight and the receipt for stage one and two. Paid tax and license and they gave me plates and registration

Well we had him out and kicked him in the butt a few times and now my question is how hard is it to tweak on the tune. My uncle used to call on me and my golden screw driver as he called it. He runs good but it feels like there is more hiding under there just waiting to be let loose.

I only wish it was that easy here. I'm sure a few others feel the same way.
Adam and I talked about that yesterday when I called him. I have a rough time with how each state has different rules kinda of feels like different countries instead. So I guess we are lucky in one respect but they did see me and my thick wallet coming as they lightened my load by a considerable chunk.

So we took our first drive today. We put 145 miles on our little Goblin and now here I sit looking outside as the sun is just setting and thinking where can we go now for a sunset run.

We took back roads to point B most speeds where in the 55 mph range some 35mph corners the car handled better than we thought it would. We where pleased with our seat choice as 2 hours in we where still comfy and ready for more.

On the way back mostly because I seen black rain clouds we chose to run the freeway and car ran the 45 miles at 70 to 75 mph no problems the only thing I found that you have to watch is car is a bit twitchy at those speeds but I have no plans to play with my phone and drive anyway.

The looks that the car draws everywhere you go. Just wait until we put the paint on the body. Seems that everyother stop light someone is asking us questions.

The car is so addicting it just goes so easy it is like driving a sooped up car. The power to weight is just plain fantastic. It is hard to just take off slooòòow and easy. Can you tell I fell in love with this Goblin. I guess I am addicted as is the wife as she has informed me we will be building another next spring. So I will be watching for another base model cobalt in automatic maybe an HHR only time will tell

So build on and have fun

You definitely didn't mess around with a puny few mile drive around the block for the first time.
We had been making short runs before tabs but build went great and donor had low miles so went to see grandkids first run. Okay had to show off

Hello Jcas
Do you have the new mount for the over flow tank. Can you send me a couple of pictures how you have it installed.
Thank you. Charles B.
