V1 Joe's 2009 F40 SS/TC #470

You're missing something - that spinney thingy that makes more go power! :p LOL!
Looking good and so close to a first start! And that F40 looks like it belongs there!

6758 is still in the box with its new install kit, I'm lucky to have the other motor here that I can just look over and copy what's already installed.

Now to start looking over some more videos, that fusebox is a mystery, I can't recall looking up that video yet.

Reading yours and others build logs just making me Itch to have the need of asking help for problems here. I'm ready to spend my nights after work working on my own goblin and go enjoy the weather once done

Today's acquired items. The whole car they were attached was a "cobalt ss sedan" that was actually an 06 2.2 auto with 189k. Idc what happened, but they pulled the head and couldn't finish the project. My win. Neither are perfect, seats need cleaned, but they're in decent shape and will only be exposed to weather from here on out, so no worries here.

It looks like in the DF video that they use a through bolt in the trans mounting plate, is this a hole we have to drill or is it supposed to be a hole that's already drilled? Then they show the rear drivers corner being mounted using a through bolt vertically and then a coated clamp to the rear most bar, connecting the two with some sort of 90* piece with two holes in it. Should I connect that last 90* piece and then mark the hole on my trans plate to drill or am I missing something?

@3:33 in a few seconds it will better show what I'm trying to convey. They don't have a video in the new series for this.

Fustrated, I moved on.

I'm missing the long coolant hose in the video, the one you cut down from @17" and @4", local parts store had one, I picked it up. I followed the video and I've come up one one aluminum splice short. No matter how I go over this in my head, and on the car.
There are two splices in each rear corner and one splice in each front corner, that's 6 splices, but the baggy only says we need 5 splices. Clearly I've not followed the plans that DF set forth nowhere, but where did I go wrong and where can I find one of these aluminum coolant splices that won't cost me $15 in shipping for a $5 part.
Actually, I need a 1-1/4" connector, which brings my needed total to two of these 1-1/4" connectors.

I'm going to be mad and walk away, but you'll see progress and then I'll come back.

Fittings ordered.

The standard frame driver's side (and passenger's side) transmission mounting to frame plate is drilled for both transmissions, manual and automatic. So there are extra holes in it. The F40 plate is only drilled with the holes to mount it with no extras. You probably need to drill an extra hole in the plate to accommodate the fusebox.

Doing stand-alone harness with ecm mounted between seats in cockpit along with fuse block. Maybe some roll bar mounts like people use for mirrors or catch cans? Just so you don’t have to disturb paint.

I see how the Tee branches off and goes under the fuse box and around the computer and back up to the coolant bottle.

I checked the turbo plumbing photo album and didn't see the 2nd mounting point. I can't seem to find the post by Ross with all of the photo album links.

*edit - found the helpful albums, nothing about mounting the fusebox rear end.
