Thanks man just did that and still no start. Hmm. I hear the pump come on and the relays clicking but no power to the starter. It goes from the grounding lug on the engine support to any bolt on the engine. Did you clean the powder coat (or paint?) of the engine supports before mating the engine to the frame? If not, you definitely need that grounding strap.
Yah I think so. I'll post pics now. But also can't for the life of me find where some other plugs plug in. I'll post all plugs as well if anyone can help. Sorry to be so needy but I wanna hear thus SOB fire up.
Also this plug. No clue
So thank you all for your help. I actually did find the issue and I got the engine to crank now. Did forget to tighten the lower compression nut on the high pressure fuel pump so I KNOW I have gas hahaha. Not sure about spark though. Gonna mess tomorrow. Another oddity is I turn my key and I can let go and I still cranks until I physically shut it off. Its a brand new starter too so I can rule out starter solenoid.
I had the same problem with it running for a few seconds after the key is shut off. I found this fix in a Manny's City Goblin threadMine does the same thing. It stops after like 8 seconds or something like that. I think it's just a Cobalt (or a Chevy/GM) thing.
Also, my car runs for a second or so after I turn the key off.
