V1 MJP61 Street Goblin - 10 LS Donor - #297

I finished wiring up the tail lights. On to the headlamps. I don’t have headlamps yet. Any suggestions?

I purchased two of these: www.ebay.com/itm/143358449577
and two of these: www.ebay.com/itm/193130208190

I didn't need the rings, but I 3D printed the base from this link.

I ran a wire from the turn signal in the mirror to the lead for the yellow halo ring, so they're now part of my turn signals.

The yellow halo ring is also part of my DRL, but '07 and earlier cars use the front turn signal as DRL whereas '08 and later run the high beams at essentially half voltage. I'm not sure if that plays nice with the LEDs, but you should have a DRL fuse you can pull to eliminate that feature.

If I recall correctly, the default DF wiring will bring 4 wires to the headlights- ground, low beam, high beam, running light. The running light will turn the halo white when the headlights are on or the stalk is switched to parking lamps. Plus the wire from the mirror turn signal for the yellow halo.

Just curious about something. With the car in the air(4 wheels off the ground), and i put the car in gear, only the left rear wheel spins. Is this normal?

Anyone else have an issue with the silicone elbow for the throttle body? Mine appears to be 3” on one side and 2.75” on the other. I can’t get the smaller side on the throttle body, and I can’t get the larger side on the air flow tube. Should it be a 3” x 3.25” silicone elbow instead?

Mine was a snug fit on both ends but I didn't fight it either. Is your piping the same as mine as we both have NA autos?

Yes it is. I just measured the hose ID. It’s 2.5 x 2.75. I think that’s the problem. The baggy says it should be 3 x 2.75

Came across a weird electrical issue tonight. I have my headlights and tail lights wires up. Don’t have the mirrors/front turn signals wires yet. I noticed that if I use my turn signals one way and then the other way, the brake lights come on and stay on. I haven’t checked anything yet. Just curious if anyone else had any similar issues.

Just touching up my previous post. All lights are wired up. When using the turn signal, left or right, they work properly. When I shut off the turn signal, after a few seconds , the brake lights come on. Not sure if anyone else has come across this before.

I don't have my car driving yet. It only idles in the garage on jack stands. I have noticed that when first starting the car, the brake lights will come on. If I blip the brake pedal once or twice, they will go off. Not overly concerned yet as not driving and will always start the car with the brakes on but was perplexed the first time to test things.

Can you share some photos of the light mounts?

As for your brake light, not entirely sure.. is your brake pedal position
sensor is installed and connected?

Brake pedal position sensor is installed and connected. I will post some pics when I get home. It seems like something is commanding the brake lights on after I turn the key on. After I first turn key on, the brake lights come on. If i push and release brake pedal, the brake lights go off then come back on after a few seconds. Weird!!

Good chance the brake pedal sensor is not quite adjusted correctly and the BCM is seeing a higher(?) than expected voltage and turning on the brake lights? Exercising the switch may 'fool' the BCM and turn off the brake lights until the system is repowered. Or I could be off base on this response.
