Unfortunately, that isn’t much higher than what a lot of cobalts are selling for in my area. There’s probably 10-15 that are priced in the $5-7k range.... and most of those are LS models...

If you could deal with parting out the un-used pieces, you could probably recover most of the cost.
I spent $5,000 on a rolled over LNF with 4,000 miles and was able to make back over $3,000 by selling pristine interior pieces.
There was lots of demand for the exterior pieces, but pretty much every corner on the car had some damage, and the font end was completely missing.
