V1 SmsDetroit Registered!!! Extended Track Goblin 09 Turbo SS

Well I’m on hold for a few days until I get a hand. Powertrain time. Now in the videos it says to install the motor plates. It looks like they are welded in now. Is this correct?
Yes they used to send separate bolt in plates for the different engine/trans setups. Now all the holes are in one plate.

That is correct. I know the welded mounts have multiple bolt patterns but I don't remember being tempted (or able) to install in any holes other than a single (and presumably the correct) set.

In the videos it shows routing the MAF to the passenger side of the goblin, and most pictures I've seen people have the intake on the passenger side. I believe you could get (or make?) a MAF extension harness so you didn't have to undo the harness and still extend the connector to the passenger side. If anything, you could cut the loom open about an inch or 2, cut the connector off with room to solder extension wires to route back across the engine.

Mine is already on the passenger side

Well it is possible to install the engine solo. Although I do have 2 questions. First are there spacers for the passenger side engine mounts. The bolts won’t go all the way down and bottom out. Second which set of holes do I use. With the trans bolted up they line up with 2 different sets. I picked the furthest forward because he turbo lined up with the cross brake when bolted one hole back.

These are the correct holes to use on the engine side.
The turbo outlet tube gets replaced with a short one.
The transmission spacers and turbo outlet tube should be in your kit.
I think the spacer kit is a K21E.
You will need to swap the o-ring from your old outlet tube to your new one.

Ordered control arms for my LNF from auto shack. Of course I got 19.5mm ball joints. They are giving me a very hard time trying to return them. Ordered from ZZP yesterday and got them today.

Let me guess, their website listed them as 08-10 SS FE5 compatible? It was the same way last year when I attempted to order a set of arms. Spent a 1/2 on their chat line with an 'expert' who couldn't provide any technical information, was reading from a sales script. Didn't order from them.

Does anyone see a reason a reason I can not connect the coolant hoses this way. I wanted to cut one connection out and use the stock hose. Also was I so posed to receive a 1” coolant hole for the coolant tank?
