That’s a factory bend in the hose. It actually straightens it out a bit

My TC had studs and nuts.

The peen end of a ball peen hammer will work a small clearance dent into the muffler.

It’s not hitting the bolts. It’s hitting the small ridge on the manifold

1/2" flange spacer would move it away.

Or, if the Ken Miles in you wants to fix it, take a hammer to the muffler and create a little clearance....
You won't really see that side.

Well I decided to take a grinder to it. Worked out okay.

I took a flap disc to the flange and smoothed it out.

you should have a gasket between the muffler flange and manifold flange
