Spray tint - does anyone use it?

So i am working the 2nd version of my polycarbonate install for a windshield on the Goblin (aka Gretta). . . the piece i am using is clear. i think it should work super if i can just get it cut RIGHT (GRRR) but esthetically it leaves a bit to be desired just being clear. Using a smoked piece of poly would just likely get me into trouble with the law. Most factory cars have a bit of transitioning going on towards the top and around the edges. . . i am trying to come up with a way to reasonably pull that off. . . a 3d printed template? hmm. perhaps.

So spray tint- anyone with experience? regular car? Goblin?

VHT has a product called Nite-Shades that is a spray tint made for tail lights. Back when I was a young lad I used it with pretty mixed results. Prep is everything. Not sure how well it would do on polycarbonate though.

Go and get yourself some cheap sunglasses!

They will be looking at that sharp dressed man and not care your windshield is not tinted!

I would greatly discourage spray tint, it fades and you will never get it to look even. I would go with standard tint or just get tinted poly carbonate
