Ordering the Kit in Stages
Last updated: Jul 3, 2025 by Adam Doyle
The Goblin kit is divided into stages so builders can progress at their own pace and spread out the workload and purchasing timeline.
Deposit
A deposit reserves your place in our production schedule and starts your chassis build. When you place your order online, you will complete a checkout process for the deposit amount. After the deposit is placed, you will receive a confirmation email with your chassis number and estimated delivery timeframe.
Stage 1 Stage 1 includes the chassis and the core components needed to mount your donor engine and perform the first startup. This stage includes the chassis, control arms, fuel tank, radiator, brake lines, floor pan, firewalls, exhaust system, and the hardware needed to install your drivetrain. The cost of Stage 1 varies based on the chassis options and the donor trim level. You will receive an invoice a few weeks before your kit is ready to ship and will be able to pay online. Stage 1 can be picked up in person or shipped by freight. Note: To save on shipping costs down the road, we recommend getting large stage 3 items, like the hood and other body panels, with stage 1.
Stage 2 Stage 2 includes the components required to get your Goblin driving under its own power. This includes suspension, brakes, steering, and additional hardware. Manual transmission setups cost more than automatic due to custom shifter assemblies and parking brake components, and higher-power donor trims require additional parts. When you are ready to move to Stage 2, let us know and we will send an invoice. The timing is flexible. Stage 2 typically takes about two weeks to pack and ship. It can be picked up in person or shipped by parcel carrier.
Stage 3 Stage 3 covers body panels, lighting, seating, and other optional accessories to complete the car. When ready, simply tell us which options you want and we will prepare the order. Part pricing and shipping will vary depending on the selections.
The staged approach allows each builder to work at a comfortable pace, manage budget planning, and shape the build according to their driving goals and preferences.
