Goblin V2 Donor Parts List

This list covers the major components you should save or remove from your Mk7 Golf or GTI donor when preparing for a Goblin V2 build. It is subject to change as we finalize production updates.
Parts You WILL Need
Powertrain Parts to Keep
- engine
- intact intake manifold
- throttle body
- turbocharger
- coil packs
- all hoses
- transmission
- transmission breather hose and box (not standard on all transmissions)
- powertrain harness
- ECM (engine control module)
- fusebox
- battery tray
- air filter box
- lower and upper portion of the air filter box
- air intake pipe from filter to turbo
- charge pipe from turbocharger to intercooler
- charge pipe from intercooler to throttle body
- coolant tank
- pendulum mount
Front Suspension, Brakes, and Steering Parts to Keep
- steering rack
- steering column
Miscellaneous Parts to Keep
- main/body harness
- Save all harnesses on the car except those attached to the dash.
- electrical modules
- There are many modules throughout the interior of the car that are required to start the car. Keep every module you find.
- accelerator pedal
- fuel pump
- Can be removed from inside of the car after removing the rear seat.
- fuel pump control module
- This is mounted to the frame of the car above the fuel tank. You can get to it from the same spot you remove the fuel pump.
- gear selector/shifter
- ignition switch
- Required if you are using the standard key setup to start the Goblin.
- gauge cluster
- push button starter
- We aren't sure how easy it will be to reuse the starter button but save it if your donor has it.
- brake master cylinder (added 10-21-2025)
- brake fluid reservoir (added 10-21-2025)
Parts You WILL NOT Need
Powertrain Parts to Toss/Sell
- driver side axle
- passenger side axle
- downpipe
- passenger side engine mount
- driver side transmission mount
- radiator
- intercooler
Front Suspension, Brakes, and Steering Parts to Toss/Sell
- front control arms
- front struts and springs
- front knuckles
- front bearing hubs
- inner tie rods
- outer tie rods
- wheels (the Goblin kit comes with 5x114.3 bearing hubs that won't work with the VW 5x112 wheels)
- brake calipers
- rotors
Rear Suspension Parts to Toss/Sell
- You will not need any of the rear suspension or brake pieces.
Miscellaneous Parts to Toss/Sell
- brake pedal
- clutch pedal
- fuel tank (remove and keep fuel pump)
- fuel filler neck
- parking brake handle assembly
