[GUIDE] Montana Registration

Got my MCO today and appears that the back is only for a Dealer to fill out, nothing for me to fill in.

.
I might have filled mine out wrong, but I filled out the odometer disclosure portion because my MCO was in my name and I had to sell it to my business.

Most likely a dumb question but I want to get this paperwork correct the first time.

On the various forms there are places where for the "Buyers Printed Name" you will enter the name of your LLC.?

For the entry "Buyers Signature" do I sign my personal name? I don't know that I have ever herd of someone singing something with their company name.

Go back to the first page of this string. He posted copies of the forms. I am going to send you a copy of my forms.

The part in question in the posted forms is blacked out.

Thanks for the offer of emailing me a copy of yours, I'll wait to compare then to mine before mailing them out.

I gave 49$ LLC a call and they confirmed that you print the name of your LLC and then sign it with you personal "Signature, Member"

Example:
29712

Note for everyone else.

Although the minute I saw an email that there was a $50 invoice to pay I took care of it minutes later. I think I should have followed it up with a call to $49 LLC Agent to let them know it was payed.

When I called today no one picked up so i left a message stating that I was just following up to make sure they were aware that I paid the $50

They called back a few hours later and left message: "Just wanted to let you know that your Temp Tag for the 2021 has been ordered, it does take 7 to 10 business days to process and will show up in your online account under documents tab. But it has been ordered and should be on its way to you very soon"

So I have no idea if they just processed it now or last Thursday, so my advice is call right after you pay the invoice so that they can acknowledge that it has been received and process the paperwork to get temp tag.

I would like to admit when I wrong $49 LLC must have processed the paperwork last week because today I was able to download my Temporary Tag :):):)

As soon as I downloaded and printed it I gave Progressive a call to get insurance for it, when she asked for the vin# and I told her what it was she was waiting on the phone for me to give her a few more numbers other than DFGB0290. I then had to explain that it was a KIT Car that I needed to add to my current policy, her response was can I put you on hold for a minute? We all no what that means... she had never heard of DFK before... I guess someone there cleared it up for her because she came back and we continued with the process.... she then asked be to confirm a few questions.... one being that the car is registered to me... I then explained that the registration has my LLC as the owner and me as the operator.... she seemed to understand... She never asked what state it was registered in so Montana never came up.... (Its her job to know her job not for me to know her job)

Anyway the insurance seems a little high, for example we only pay $1,222 for 4 vehicles (6 months) that are also on the policy and the Goblin alone will be $620 for (six months) at a value of $20K with a $500 deductible.

At the moment I just glad to be Plated and Insured. Will be driving in on the open road tonight. :)

Progressive wouldn't even talk to me about insuring my Goblin, and I've been with Progressive for more than 20 years. I pay less than half what you pay, through Rally Insurance Group/Modern. Have you thought about that route, Jareth?

Unfortunately I plan on driving "the you know what" out of her and would burn thru 3K in a mater of months :)

I will definitely shop around and transfer it when I find a better deal.

Really? I called and explained my situation and got transferred to Progressive Classic Car (Hagerty). $540/year with $0 deductible, $20k agreed upon value, and no mileage limits.
