V1 Joe's 2009 F40 SS/TC #470

Waiting on some parts, so I was going to mock up the subframe, but I'm having some issues visualizing why I have so much hardware in baggy K012. I think the intercooler pump is what I can't visualize.

While looking I saw rubber under the engine mount. My tensioner pulley has been rubbing on the long hose on the passenger side, which means that my intake is routed too closely... or something. I bought one of these hoses a while back because I thought I lost it, so no loss there, just a minor thing to work around, but now I have to figure out a new way to mount things that allow for clearance of the hose AND for the intake to sit nicely in that open cavity behind the passenger seat.

I used two of the larger insulated clamps I had left over. I believe they were from the harness routing bag.

You SC guys have so much room! Lol

I may have something wrong, but my intake is definitely pressing the coolant hose into the idler. I'll have to take a 2nd look tomorrow and see if I'm overlooking something.

*edit - maybe I'm not so wrong and I do have it right.*

I'm going to stop here, say that I am wrong and that I have my hose routed wrong. Now that I have looked a couple stock intake placement TC cars, the hose is supposed to go around the intake filter. I have mine stuffed between the MAF tube and the head, it's an ultra tight fit and *almost works, but clearly I've learned otherwise.
Positive note, at least I can have a controlled release of coolant while I reroute the hose instead of a potentially pressurized hose blowing open.

I'm tc and stuffed between the head and maf tube. It's tight but no rubbing. I have a rubber coated clamp that shares the bolt with the front engine mount braket to block bolt that holds it off the hose.

Maybe I'm not wrong *shrugs. Late model, early model deal? I unno.

Is yours THAT tight up top, too? The MAF yube is definitely pushing it into the idler. The silicone 45* is right on the motor mount, so there is no room for give. All of the couplers are at the end of the pipes for maximum length.

I just got through my first start, so dont mind the mess.

Yeah mine looks as tight fitting as yours. Only difference I have is the clamp I stuck on that mount bracket bolt.

This is how my 2008 t/c is routed. If I remember correctly, I cut mine too short to begin with. Adam told me that they went to a new hose to go around the air filter. Could be wrong, been a while since I did that.
