Not sure on your routing of the fuel filter and lines. Most of us go down the frame an up the back

The "security key sensor coil" around the ignition switch would rattle around in one of my machines and "no start". I zip tied it around the cylinder and it's been good since. I think the plastic column covering originally held it in position to the cylinder?

I will definitely get this secured. I did find my no start issue though. Loose crank relay was causing issues but got it resolved.

Milestone reached! First start was a success, after priming the fuel pump a few times it fired up first try!

The engine is surging at idle and still lots of black soot out of the exhaust, I need to look into this a little more as time goes on but I will have plenty before I get the rest of my kit and the car on the road.

Solved my cluster and boost gauge backlighting issue. At first I found the stray grey wire from the cluster, I got it connected to the BCM…lights still didn’t work. I started checking fuses and noticed the PRK Lamps fuse in the fuse box was missing.

Replaced the fuse with a 10amp I had on hand and all is well. Just need to grab a 15amp and call it good.

This all brought back the memory of when I got my donor home the 15amp LTR fuse was not installed and wouldn’t give power to the OBD to read codes. I took the PRK Lamps fuse to power the OBD.

Fog?

Does this sound correct?
I’m unsure about the Fog switch. I know in other vehicles the fog button is just a press and release. Does the fog function in the cobalt send a signal to power this circuit? Or does it need to be latching?

Fog, if you want to use the fog circuit controlled by the BCM is a momentary. I replaced it with a latching and used it independently from the BCM. I found it annoying setting the fog light symbol on, but that's just me.

The rest of my kit will be here tomorrow! Haven’t touched the goblin in almost a month but receiving the tracking number got me back out in the garage.
These beautiful days in Ohio are making me miss my motorcycles and wishing this tater was done so I could drive it!

I picked up a roll of gym flooring today to fill in the floor pan in between the frame. I will also be putting it on the firewall behind the seats. Everything will be secured with silicone except the two areas in front of the driver and passenger seats. I haven’t decided how I will secure these but I would like them to be easily removable if they get worn down, especially the drivers side. Any ideas would be appreciated!

I glued pieces of boat carpet to pvc plastic sheets cut to fit. About time to replace it. A little heat should soften the contact cement and be pretty simple to remove and glue new carpet.

Front end is almost done. Still need rotors and calipers from DF.
question;
When is the time to set the angle of the rod ends and lock them down? I had the large ends parallel to the arm and the two small end perpendicular but when on the car they seem off. Should they be centered?

Steering column is almost finished. Need to get the turn signal stalk installed.

Building the rear end is next on the list this week.

Trae, you need to flip the bottom black steel mount point on the spindle. Take a close look at Adam's car.
After that, you still need a wheel alignment, so after that, you can lock them down. The top A arm needed more length than the bottom A arm on my car.

Oh crap! I looked at that pic and didn’t even realize the bottom was opposite. Thank you!
