Tomorrow morning first thing over the DF to pick up the three frames. It was an event full trip had a tire blowout on the trailer which cost us about two hours.

Pretty much guaranteed when borrowing a trailer.

Borrowed my dad’s camper once, and blew a total of three tires on one trip. I hate camping.

Well after a grueling 2,100+ mile round trip to Red Oak, Texas I am finally home. While there I picked up three frames that were headed to Florida, Mine #227, Jared's frame #230 and Patrick's frame #234. Stopped in Navarre, Florida last night about 11:00 PM and dropped off Jared's frame. He saw that we were running on empty & was kind enough to put me and my friend John up for the night. THANK YOU !!! Got an early start this morning and finally made it home mid afternoon. Unloaded Patrick's frame first which is now sitting behind my garage. He is about 250 miles south of me and will pick it up as soon as he has the time. I was then finally able to get to my frame which is now in it's happy home sitting in my garage. Opened a few boxex and the packing of the parts is a thing of beauty. DF is a class act. Me tired ...... goodnight !

Well my first actual build photos. I did a test fit on the seats & the seat mounting rails, then welded them in. Not happy with my welds but they aren't going anywhere. Also cut and welded in one piece of Diamond Plate floor. Will do the 2nd one tomorrow. Then Monday it's off to powder Coat. Yeah !!!

Frank, you may want to angle your seat rails in toward th center of the car. Having the seat square in the car will put the pedals and steering wheel off to your right slightly. Angling the seat inward about 3-4 degrees makes a significant difference for your left knee/leg.

Sold my donor engine 208K miles. Bought another low mileage 87K miles. Also sold my tires, wheels, headlights and front fender. It was a good day.

Diamond Plate - Welded in place for an additional 12 pounds. I can live with that. Probably added no more that if I had an extended frame. Tomorrow it's off to Powder Coat.

After looking for the front suspension parts shown in the build video (for over an hour) I was about to call DF and report the missing items. Then I found what I believe are the replacement parts. Call me crazy but they do look juuuuuuuust a bit different.

Uprights & Rod Ends- The first picture is from Build Video #23. The Rod End Mounts have been changed. The other pictures are how I believe they go together.

The first pic of the hub upright is yours or from the video? The aluminum pieces are the new parts, I believe, because the steel angle pieces are the original parts that most everyone has. There are 2 sizes of the original steel angles, 1/4 and 3/8 inch thick, the thicker are the latest pieces.

Tim, the aluminum pieces are the early parts, and DF has moved on to the steel parts, as they are less manufacturing intense.
The 1/4" parts are the default for the kit, but the 3/8" parts are available for upgrading... mostly autocross racers.

I am also planning on lollipop red for my frame
