I am through the thinning videos, and a few things aren't lining up. My donor is a 2006 LSJ.
The second thinning video has you remove the headliner connector and VCIM connector. I couldn't find either of those. I am guessing I don't have a VCIM, and I am guessing this is my headliner connector?
I have it labeled as rear seat connector, but I am guessing it came off the rear deck. Is this the headliner plug? If so, can I just thin all of the wires attached to it?
Also I didn't see in the video about thinning the trunk light wiring. Is it safe to thin this out?
I also have this random connector. It was under the console by the shifter, but wasn't connected to anything. Any ideas what it is?
In the thinning videos Adam talks briefly about a vacuum sensor on the brake reservoir. I am assuming that is for newer cars? Mine is only a 2 wire.
Also, at the end of the 2nd thinning video, all of the grounding lugs are free of the harness. None of mine are. Did I miss something? The brake reservoir and coolant bottle grounds are still attached as I didn't thin those connectors.
