V1 Joe's 2009 F40 SS/TC #470

Still not sure what question is being asked, but the sensor in the intake piping is a 4 wire, with all 4 wires in use, TMAP sensor and does report back temperature and pressure. The service manual calls it at least 3 different names and on HPT forums they call it Low Res Boost Sensor.

@Gtstorey is correct, as usual. He's done his homework and explains the 2 sensors functions accurately. I've wondered if the TMAP sensor in the intake could utilize the temperature output for another function, since the wire harness only has 3 connected?

G
I assume by “intake” you mean intake manifold? I consider both of them in the intake.
The sensor side is the 4 wire side, and the 3 wire is on the ECM side so if you are thinking using this for something like a wideband into the ac pressure wiring then no. If you want to monitor the iat in the manifold then you could probably rig something up but I wouldn’t expect much difference from the existing iat2 temperature already being measured.

Shooting water/meth before/at the throttle body will make a difference in the intake manifold temperature. Since the MAP has a temperature output was just curious if anyone has used it.

Don't want to hijack Joe's build log with this discussion.

How... how did I manage to forget to order flywheel bolts?! So much for the weekend plans of drivetrain assembly.
Instead, here are some clutch pictures.

Nah, with the weight of the goblin, SPEC said that Stage2+ would be plenty for what Im building and still be very streetable.
A word to the newbies among us!, The FW label in the pic means "Fly Wheel" Side. Clutch disc installed backwards is "most bad".
Also Manual flywheel bolts are different than Automatic flex plate bolts! And I believe the rest of the Eco-Tec motors use only 6 bolts! Things to notice! If anyone sends you 6 flywheel bolts, beware!

OTTP lists ARP 209-2801 and shows a picture with a part number on the product. ZZP has none in stock.
Found them on Amazon with one-day shipping for $49.91. Gotta love Prime.

You were right @Ross. OTTP said they order them in bulk from ARP and they don't have a part number.
They differ quite a bit from the ones I previously thought were right bolts.
I can do some measuring later on tonight. Threads are longer, 12point head is smaller in dia. and socket size.

The head is going to be too thick with the 12 point being raised above the 'flange' on the bolt. They may contact the clutch disc face - which is the reason the stock bolt heads are shallow. Thread length can be corrected to be shorter.

Ark :D
When I searched "ARP 209-2801" on Amazon, several matches for the shorter bolt on the right, came up. Are you saying you ordered based on picture, matching the right bolt, but you received the left bolt?

Yes by picture, but not by bolt. I tried to get bolts cheaper and ordered through Amazon, what I saw pictured in an ARP package with part number on OTTP's website. When I clicked "F40 option" the picture didn't change so I thought 209-2801 was what I needed. I contacted OTTP direct and they said that the F40 bolt (left with the thicker head) was different from 209-2801. 209-2801 is on the right with the shallow head.
