V1 Security light on solid !

Any ideas the car was running driving perfectly due to a licensing issue its been sitting for two months. State of Co. tells me i have to take for another inspection !!
long story.
The car was on a battery tender while stored probably have nine hours into ten min key relearn light stays solid I've unhooked battery BCM and ECM checked wiring and found no issues can jump the start relay and will start while cranking. talked with my GM dealer he said i need a $380.00 GM reprogram ? would like to remove or by pass this completely if could will take it to GM if needed just thought I would reach out to the Goblin community for some input.

I turned off my VATS with HP. That's where it need to see the correct key before it will run. I am not sure if that's your issue or not.

Thanks I'll look in to it just funny how I drove in and parked it and now I'm locked out may be missing something but don't want to put much more money into it until I get plates on it ! It's turning into a money pit.

Was looking at HP Tuners site it kind of confusing (For an old guy) on witch program to buy ? what would suggest for a 2010 TC.

If it is a 2010 TC I am not sure if you can turn on the VATS. I have an 08 and hp tuners will not allow me to turn in it off. Think 07 was the last year you could do that.

that's what I have read! I ask at my GM dealer if they could shut it off he said no being a 2010. I ask ZZP and they said no also this is the second time
I have had problems with this hate to give GM money and have an ongoing problem.

I have seen products that supposed to remove/bypass the VATS but never tried any of them. This one I was looking at but haven't had the ambition to try it yet. Probably when my security light comes on will be the time.

There is supposed to be a way to wire things up to eliminate the vats. Dig through the HP Tuners forum. I don’t think the details are there but one of the online performance shops that deal with Ecotecs posted that they could do it. I think it may have been RPM Performance.

I had the solid theft light issue from my donor getting the ignition replaced and sitting for a long time. Essentially it turned out to be a problem with the old keys not responding. I went to ace, got a brand new key (make sure its the pk3 one and don't let them try to program it or anything), put the new never scanned key in and light when away instantly
