V1 Nukers City Goblin - 2009 SS/TC number 2 build

HP Tuners will allow you to move your licence from one ECU to the next... you probably need to contact them.
If they made it easy to move your licence from one ECU to the next, we could be programming a new ECU every day.
Even thou HP Tuners cracks GM's ECU tables, they don't want you crack their software licencing.
Is it is a fine line or a double standard?

lol so I have to release my license, then flash the new ECU with the programming I saved from the old ECU, then release the license again?

So, From what I read when I jump the light blue and tan wires together from the MAF plug, the IAT1 should read 300, when i un jump them -40. But when I jump them HP tuners just still reads -40..... I'm getting the proper 12v power but just no IAT temps..... New MAF same thing.

Is it using IAT2 from the MAP sensor in HP Tuners?
If it is using IAT from the MAF, is the signal getting to the PCM?
This is electrical diagrams from my 06 LSJ... which has the Tan wire going from the MAF to the PCM, C2 connector, Pin 51.

I believe I was getting the 5 or 5.5 volts on the tan and blue. I'll confirm again tomorrow. It should be the IAT1 I'm guessing. I'll have to see if I can find in HP tuners where to see both IAT1 and 2 I guess I just assumed it was IAT 1.

I had a bad wire harness on the stage 1 set up from ZZP it would read hot all the time so put old MAP ON WITHOUT USING THERE HARNESS AND GUESS WHAT IT WORKED ,
SO THEY SENT A NEW WIRE

Thank you @Zoom Zoom I'll check that for sure by plugging my new MAF straight into the wiring harness outside of the intake tube. It should read ambient at that point.

Also look at this BS from HP tuners. Basically sorry you had to buy a new ECU you can't transfer **** so give us 100$ more credits.

Unfortunately, that's not surprising. For every honest customer that has a legitimate need to do a transfer, there are probably a hundred "tuners" that would abuse that ability to avoid paying for credits for each car they tune...

They got me also , I didn’t know mine was locked and before I even started trying to do anything with HPTUNERS I bought 2 credits. That ended up being useless unless I figure how to unlock it

Can anyone confirm that their IATs read when ignition is turned on but engine is not running? Just trying to do more testing without starting the car 100 times.

Ross
If the engine is cold, and the system is calibrated, the intake air temperature will be ambient temperature.
My shop is 78F.

Ross
Right. I turned on the key, and could see my IAT and IAT2 without the engine running. I did start logging in VCM Scanner.
Oddly, the ambient air temp sensor wasn't showing up on the graph.

Okay so I have pulled the time off my original ECU

installed the new ECU licensed it’s VIN in HP tuners then connected VCM editor to the new ECU and wrote the entire file I pulled off my original tune but the vin is not changing on the new ECU…..

Any ideas?

Why do you want the the old VIN? Just move forward with the new ECU and it's new VIN.

Oh well, It starts now, and the good news is the IAT1 and 2 are both reading now! The o2 is still not reading anything though....

Going to have the tuner stick a wide band up the exhaust while tuning and just go from there in the morning.

Thank you everyone,
