I think it's an Ohio thing? Well never get a group together like you Texas guys at this rate :p
Be hopeful! my kit will be here this weekend and I actually talked to a guy on facebook somewhere in, if I remember correctly, northwestern Ohio that is building one. He had a bunch of cobalt parts listed and mentioned building a goblin so I asked him about his build log. He does not have a log yet but wants to start it.

He hasn’t been here in over a year. Maybe he will come back. Weird to just vanish

And like that, I’m back. Well, kinda.

Haven’t done much with the car. I did order the new tubular subframe so have that to look forward to. Have a few upgrades in planned for the same time too (steering rack, all new rod ends, quick disconnect steering wheel, maybe new seatbelts, maybe a wrap, and full professional alignment)

That’s how I met JBinTX. He was selling cobalt parts from a part out, but the car was not crashed or anything. Contacted him if he was building a goblin and he was. The rest is history. :D

She arrived! Now to get it all powder coated. Going to be a challenge to match what I have now since I don’t know the color and I think the business I had do the original stuff is no longer in business

Nice. Mine is due to be delivered today. Did they get all of the hardware sourced or are there still some missing pieces (one of their emails awhile back noted they were having some hardware supply issues). Also any instructions included? It should be pretty straightforward but some guidance is always welcome.

Or.... If matching will be hard or look bad, then choose a different accent color.

Glad you got yours!
Do you know what number you were in the purchase line?
No but I did order mine pretty quickly once it was announced.

I got the same email but there was no mention of missing parts or directions. I just got the invoice email, the package showed up, then I got the email with a tracking number, then I paid the invoice...

If the business doesn't exist I know how to track down the old owner and should be able to get it.

I had mine delivered today and they did seem to resolve whatever supply issue with some of the hardware that they were having as it all seems to be complete. I didn't expect any instructions and it should be easy enough to figure out on the fly anyhow. I media blasted the arms and subframe today and am dropping it off at my powdercoater tomorrow morning. Now if I can just figure out the ati harmonic balancer issue I'm having I might get back on the road before winter hits the northeast.

Got all new rod ends for the front end, and same for the new tubular subframe.

Went with American made FK JMX series all around. Wanted quality and since I have to take the front apart to replace the steering rack, decided to do them all. The originals seemed cheap. Wanted to do it right since I’m going to a race shop to get it professionally aligned.
