Is this an official DF issued drawing? It looks totally legit.OR, make rigid uprights that form an X (blue) that align with the existing mounts (red). Then connect the wing mounts to the upright mounts with wire/turnbuckles or threaded rods (green) to make it stiff enough.

Question for the masses;
I found an amazing deal on a carbon fiber spoiler down the street from me but the mounting holes are only 22” apart. The uprights from DF are about 26.5” apart and with the 90° bracket make it about 24”-25”.
Has anyone drilled into carbon fiber to mount a wing? I’m not sure how thick it is but my thought was utilizing rivnuts if I can get them to grab (worried about the strength of that) or getting a longer bolt and using spacers to make up the difference.
Problem is that it won't give you any warning when it fails. Good chance it will be there 1 minute, gone the next.I have. I drilled into my NRG wing to bring the mounts closer together. I put rivnuts in it, lathered in epoxy to give me a little more of a comfort factor. It's been up to 100mph multiple times. I'm not concerned.
I thought of epoxy too, with my skepticism and at least one person saying it was unsafe, I will err on the side of caution.I have. I drilled into my NRG wing to bring the mounts closer together.
