did you unplug the connector going to the power steering? I had the same issue and that is what I had done.

Are you sure you have the two twisted tan wires starting at the power steering unit to the BCM and then to the ECM? These are the data lines used for communication between them.

Let me check... and should i be able to control the lights with no key in the ignition?

These wires go from the obd to the power steering

I have the tan twisted wires going from the obd2 to the power steering. And just a ground and power coming from the power steering

And i have a twisted wire going to from the blue connector to the ecm

The power steering connector should actually have two sets of data wires. The first set tan/black which comes from your OBD-II connector. The outgoing set is brown/white and brown which runs from the power steering connector to the BCM. I believe this is the only part of the circuit where wire colors go different.

I see the wires in your picture, but I can't tell where they go. Something to check as most people just focus on the tan/black wiring.

Thanks man. Il check that when i get home, if it looks good, then I'll start checking for continuity. When i connect the battery, i hear a relay click.
On a side note, i have the large positive battery wire going from the battery to the starter and i have the starter wire going from the starter to the fuse box.

That is the correct routing for your battery and starter wires so you should be good with that part.

Also does anyone have the same manual transmission i have. Im trying to figure out the piece that is missing that holds the clutch cable bracket on.

Correct, those are the front fender mounts.

I have that same setup. The o-ring end goes into the master cylinder and that curvy piece is a spring to hold the other pieces down. I’ll try to get you a good picture of it tomorrow.

I’ll also get you a pic of the shifter cable mounts.
