V1 Towerdog's Indiana Street Goblin Build (#250) 07 SS/SC Donor

R
So this afternoon I gave my clutch another shot. Ran almost a quart through it. Still no improvement,,,, I am starting to believe that the master is sucking air. Why? Well I can up down till there is little to no bubbles in the hose. Pump the dickens out of the pedal and the next time you go down and crack the bleeder... nothing but foam!
Was it a new master? I cracked the neck for the hose that goes from the master to the reservoir during disassembly. Bought a new one during prep.

Well put a new master cylinder in this morning. Hooked up the feed line up and let fluid run out the pressure side before hooking up the pressure line. First attempt at bleeding it was to do the GM recommended vac from the res, Got lots of bubbles but no fluid went in the system. Vac from the elbow pulled air and fluid through but still not enough travel on the slave. So I manually bleed about a quart through it... Seems a little stiffer and the slave is moving a smidge farther. Have the back end jacked up in the hopes that if there are anymore bubbles in the line that they will float to the rear and I will bleed it out in a couple hours.

Can you shoot me a short video of the feed line from the reservoir to the master cylinder?
And a video showing the pushrod moving all the way in and all the way out with a tape measure beside it.

I can compare it to the movement of one of ours to make sure there is not something limiting the travel.

Did you say it wasn't leaking fluid anywhere?

It is not leaking fluid anywhere that I can tell. It sat for a whole week and not a drop. After hours and quarts of manual bleeding I put it back together and tested it,,,, Barely and movement of the pedal for full engaged. So I tried GMs recommended vac from the reservoir and as soon as the vac got to 20 in mercury the bubbles come and you could pump the pump until the cows come home and the bubbles are not going to stop coming. You can pump the dickens out of the pedal to get pressure back but it is not enough to even be able to get it in gear.

And I dont know how to upload video's.... And I do not have a you tube account. But the plunger on the master travels a little over an inch,,,, The same as the other new one that is out of the car.

Not sure if this is proper tubing,, After looking at it closer it is trans cooler not trans.

I appreciate the offer but I am out of town from Sunday till Friday clear into next month... Hence why this is so aggravating. Aside from getting stuff around for my next week there is the 3 acres of yard to mow, The pond building the wife is wanting finished.... All I want to do is go for a spin, Not dump hundreds of dollars and hours of time into it.

I tried to get him to set the clutch pedal back to OEM configuration, maybe he'll listen to you.

I was looking for pictures of your brake and clutch line set up at the front of the car, and ran across this picture. Are you sure your clutch pedal is fully extending to the released position? Chad had issues with his brake pedal not fully releasing and causing bleeding issues on his brakes.

When vac pumping from the res the brakes are involved in a way..
And I had to weld a washer as a shim in front of the pedal housing to keep the pedal from over extending. It currently is slightly over what stock was.
